Wha...but the card's effect does not say anything like: "This card can only be used once per turn" on it... It says that it gets set back face down on the field...and as if I could re-use it the same turn~...?

it gets reset after use, which means you cant use it until the next turn after its set

Well either way, it is still a good card. Even if your opponent knows one of his/her attacks will be negated, sometimes that's enough, because he/she may only be able to attack with one monster anyway. And if he/she is purposefully waiting to get a good setup or card to destroy it with, how is that different from you having used Threatening Roar or something to force them to not attack? Either way, you still buy that turn, if not multiple turns.

Well, someone's done his/her homework! 3 Charmer decks are certainly better than one.

The first deck looks pretty solid. Teching Undine isn't something I would've thought of, but it's a good choice. I'm not sure I like Red Screen though... especially since you don't run Red Dragon Archfiend. Maybe swap them out for two more copies of Swords? Also, Lightning Vortex doesn't work everywhere, and it's honestly not the best in this deck. Try either Torrential or Smashing Ground instead.

I really like the second deck, but Night's End Sorceror doesn't seem well supported. I mean, yeah, it's a great Tuner, but I don't see any way to Special Summon him in here, so how exactly would you pull off his effect? Also, I think Ice Queen would work well in here... just a thought.

Interesting picks for the third deck... wouldn't have expected Hiita, Eria, and Wynn without the others. I'm not incredibly versed with Spellbooks but this looks pretty turbo. Also I haven't playtested Downerd; how does it work for you?

Thanks for the advice! For the first deck I used to run two worm linx for draw power and I forgot to take lightning vortex out with it. As for red screen...I guess paying 100 per turn or just swords is a better choice than risking 1k damage per turn XD. Something that I'm thinking about adding to the first deck is "Big Bang Shot" since I use Tiger King. I just can't seem to find the space. One problem that I find with this deck is if I find myself with no field presence and few cards in my hand, there's nothing I can really topdeck to save myself. Keeping Dewloren alive is also quite difficult T-T

For the second deck, I run night's end because hes pretty strong with solidarity and that's really the main card of the deck. I'm thinking about adding a magical exemplar and witch of the black rose, though. I'm not sure about ice queen since 2 monsters is a pretty hefty cost and most of my spells are continuous.

As for the 3rd, any charmers can work I just haven't changed them all yet lol. Haven't really gotten to use her yet. I'm not very good at picking cards for the extra deck XD

How often do you go into Dewloren? Because you're only including Big Bang Shot to use with one card, I'd put it in the side first.

Hmm... yeah unfortunately this can happen a lot with Charmer decks. Maybe you can try adding Dualities?

Definitely agree with Magical Exemplar. Witch of the Black Rose is a bit too situational imo. And oh yeah, forgot she only searches normal spells.

Normally I'd be on top of people's Extra decks lol, but yours seems pretty solid actually.

Its not very hard to get him out since undine makes getting synchros pretty easily. The only problem is theres a lot of removal in yugioh and there is only 1 Dewloren


If I can get a worm linx to survive turn 1 then it usually survives for a while, which means that I usually have too many cards in my hand since I draw 3 a turn.

Um..... Wow at all the old cards, I used to like that fire Pegasus :3

Anyway, one of your deck's weakness is the usage of old cards, and while I'm not saying they're weak, they'll have trouble with all the meta here, I suggest ya put more effect cards that could support Charmer, either that or throw most of your card, Genexy Ally Changer is, from my usage, extremely nice to be used with Charmer, ya can check my Genex Charmer if ya want some idea, since I could count that deck as a succeed now

Someone needs to write a guide about the basics of deck building in this Deck and Strategies section.

WELL.... you have way too many cards for starters, including some Normal monsters which don't seem to serve any purpose, and some really outdated cards like De-Spell. Most standard decks try to get as close to 40 cards as they can. I assume this is NOT what you use irl, based on what you told me before, so I'll offer any suggestions I can here without worrying about you needing to collect the actual cards.

First of all, take out the stuff like Firewing Pegasus and Dark Witch, as I don't see any use for them at all. I would say the same thing for Gagagigo, but at least it's a Level 4 monster, so if you just wanted him in for aesthetics it could pass I guess. Same thing with Dark Paladin and its materials tbh... it looks like your deck just has him in there for lols without actually supporting it at all. If you want to use Dark Paladin, you'd have to change your build around to support him by including more support for searching Buster Blader and Dark Magician, as well as upping the count of Polymerization. But as is, you'll probably never summon him. Not so sure about The Tricky either, but if he works for you, then he shouldn't be a problem.

As for spells and traps, well, Dark Hole, Torrential, and Bottomless are missing, and they are staples in this format so add as you like. De-Spell is completely outclassed by MST, so swap them for a pair of MSTs. Likewise, swap out the Shadow Spells for Fiendish Chains. You could possibly try adding Pot of Dualities for consistency, since those do tend to work nicely in Charmer decks, but I don't see any space for them atm. Also you could try Hidden Armory if you wanted to search that lone Scroll of Bewitchment (or One-Shot Wands).

I see you have a bit of a Simochi burn strategy going on here. While that's kinda cool, I don't know how well it works with the Charmers. Maybe try teching Burden of the Mighty? As for specific cards, Dian Ketos should be replaced with Poison of the Old Mans, and Kurenais should be replaced with something more versatile like Magical Explosion/Ceasefire/Chain Strike/something that doesn't require you to lose a monster lol. Also Barrel Behind the Door is very situational as well... perhaps take those out for one of the staple traps I mentioned. Threatening Roar is another good card to work with the Charmers, since it provides a turn for you to flip them and gain their effects.

I don't know if you're going for a beatdown strategy or not, but you may also find Solidarity to be helpful if you take out all the vanillas and Buster Blader.

Lastly, have you thought about Extra deck monsters? The Charmers are all Levels 3 and 4, so maybe include some staple Xyz. My suggestions would be at least Wind-Up Zenmaines, Daigusto Emeral, Lavalval Chain, Number 39: Utopia, Number 17: Leviathan Dragon, and Maestroke the Symphony Djinn. There are more, but I'd figure you can start with those if you can't think of any others.

First, reduce the number of cards to 40. And then, we can talk again about what you could use and what you have to take out. Choose your cards well.

Not bad, but you could try giving the deck a bit more cohesion, since right now not many of the cards work together. Also, I know Hiita's your favorite Charmer, but since you're not playing FP-Beatdown, running 3 FP-Hiitas isn't a very good idea since it can lead to dead draws and stuff. Maybe take one or two out for an equip card like Bound Wand or One-Shot Wand, to make your monsters stronger, or maybe add a Book of Moon since that's a very useful card in general nowadays. I'd also drop the Wabokus for Fiendish Chains, since monster effect negation is huge nowadays, and it also stops your opponent's attacks as well.

I can agree on a textlist being included as preferred, but it has nothing to do with it being "spam", (which here it isn't) but simply for cards people may not recognize right away
