| http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/index.htmlNewly Forbidden:Morphing Jar (Was Limited) Morphing Jar #2 (Was Unlimited) Newly Limited:Coach Soldier Wolfbark (Was Unlimited) Mermail Abyssgunde (Was Unlimited) Reklndling (Was Unlimited) Infernity Barrier (Was Unlimited) Newly Semi-Limited:Necroface (Was Limited) Hieratic Seal of Convocation (Was Unlimited) No longer limited:Magical Stone Excavation (Was Semi-Limited) Primal Seed (Was Limited) banlist both bans and starts to lift cards from my old deck-out deck RIP Jars overall though this is the easiest list ever for me, because it literally doesn't affect me at all in any sort of way by any stretch of the imagination | |

| NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MORPHING JAR BROTHERS, WHY And I finally built a rock deck too Seriously, why? I can understand #1 even though I don't like it, but #2 was not even doing anything to my knowledge. *sees Necroface at 2* Although... I might be persuaded to like this list... Limits were needed, unlimits are fine. Hieratic Seal pisses me off more than it should - they need to make up their minds about cards like this lol. So yeah, I'm cool with everything on the list except for the Morphing Jars. No DSF errata like in OCG was also interesting. This will literally be the first time the same card actually does different things depending on the region you play in. Also, anyone notice that the list is until July 13th? as in, the middle of the month? What is this, emergency bans planned ahead or something? | |

| I think the Jars are due to Jackpot 7 being a thing.
Also, I still expect DSF errata will end up being a thing. Though as of now we have no word on a rerelease (which is exactly why Japan's taking him off, because he's being rereleased with errata'd text) and removing him without one would just cause far too much confusion and unintended cheating for a decision that would already be confusing enough as-is.
Also, i think list cutoff may be because of pendulumonsters, since iirc the new starter deck with them is happening July 11th. Fortunately though, this time there's no way they can just slaughter any monster card-types solely for pendulumonster promotion because they all can either a) benefit from pendulum summoning in some way or b) are so outdated and only viable in very specific builds that they don't do anything to either help or hinder sales or promotion of them.
Silly as the pendulumonsters could very well end up being, from a marketing and gameplay standpoint Konami has it right for once.

That is not true at all. Jackpot 7 only activates upon being sent by your OPPONENT'S card effect. If that were the case, then just ban Jackpot 7 because there are way worse ways of milling it than using Morphing Jar. - ΛΔ wrote:

Oh okay, didn't know he was being rereleased. So I guess as soon as they can, they'll probably do the same in TCG. - ΛΔ wrote:

Silly as the pendulumonsters could very well end up being, from a marketing and gameplay standpoint Konami has it right for once. Honestly, I think Morphing Jar may have been hit because of pendulum summoning as well. If you get two pendulum monsters out and set Morphing Jar, when it's flipped up next turn you draw 5 cards, then can pendulum summon potentially all of those drawn cards. As far as I can think of right now, Morphing Jar is the last not-banned card allowing you to draw that much in one turn. Even though I still think it's still too slow and situational to pull this off successfully, it makes sense to me (the same reason why they hit Book of Moon when Xyz came out). That still doesn't explain #2 though.

Jackpot 7 + swap + jar. lol OUCH, actually as I know thisis he woring theory behing both jar hits. Since they both can be use with swap to makepossible OTK except why does TCG card, jackpot 7 is an OCG card. lol

Well it is going to come out in TCG soon. And in that case, why not hit Creature Swap then? Even with Morphing Jar gone, you can still do the Dark Scorpion OTK with Creature Swap, which is arguably better and faster than relying on Morphing Jar. I seriously don't think Jackpot 7 was the reasoning behind this.

Oh, swap is still a bad card, not worthy of a hit. jars defintly more troublesome lol.

lol no, its only useful in very specific decks and pretty much all those decks aren't even notable enough to justify a hit for

The fact that they won't even try to test Morphing Jar #2 at 2 or even 1 for a format is what bugs me the most here. I mean is Jackpot 7.dek really that consistent? I have a Jackpot 7 DW deck that is pretty powerful, but Konami isn't looking twice at anything in there.

Well maybe thy hit jar, cuz muffin lol See sometimes hits look random, remember, they hit M7 just to unhit them, maybe there is a combo they are afriad of that hadn't been relaized or released yet. seems possible. I personall don't care cuz jar 2 or jar 1 are sacky cards that I really felt no noticible gain from.
