honestly nothing is really surprising here, though a part of me is wondering "why not just wait until August when the Links-era banlist happens?"

Norden being hit though.... good old standard Konami hitting the result of the problem and not the problem's source (Instant Fusion)


mildly annoyed at That Grass Looks Greener being on, simply because of how relatively new it still is with no reprint. but given how abused it was at a meta level, it's nothing I didn't expect either (though tbh I'd of preferred Left Arm Offering to be hit instead for now, since I see that being far more of a continuously abused problem card in the long run)

well on the plus side, that means Grass should drop down to much cheaper prices in the near future, so I can get a full playset without having to pay like $60 for when/if it ever drops down (even if I can already see it being one of those cards Konami will be outright terrified of easing up on)

I'm surprised they're announcing this list now, an entire month in advance, when usually they just announce it a couple days before.

Pendulum Magicians coming back so soon after their emergency banlist? Really?

The website says they're gonna update again in August. So maybe this is like their way of catching up to the OCG banlist?

Either that or they really hate Grass.

probably also pendulum evolution shilling before links eviscerate pendulums, leaving its decaying corpse exposed for all to see

honestly pendulums were decently fine at first

and then very quickly konami decided to take every red flag worry I had about them and turn that dial so hard and fast it snapped instantly
