I understand that the series is pretty rubbish(I stopped after the first episode), but as for the hatred of the hair... I always thought Yugi's hair looked stupid... So, erm... I can't really complain about this guy's hair being any more stupid. Still, my loyalty to the series doesn't stretch far enough for me to watch this rubbish... Death of a great Anime(unless it gets better somehow, like them killing off the main character).

This is sad. I hope Konami has better ideas in the future cause things are getting pretty techy with the yugioh shows right now. I remember when people stayed on the floor to duel using fusion monsters. Look where things are now. The main character is called number 99? REALLY? how technical can you get?

OK, you want to know what I think about this series?
Yugi, Judai, and Yusei, are all great characters. But this? Err...
Yeah, so far it is enjoyable, but Tsukumo Yuma is completely annoying. 10/10 for his spirit, and 0/10 for his duel level, and personality. This guy, by far, the weakest main character of YGO series, and the most annoying YGO main character. Ever.
This series, is for beginner in my opinion. You can see the quizzes after the credit. THOSE quizzes are for beginners who don't know how to duel, and of course, I believe each and every one of us, can answer it without even thinking. (Card's position in DEF position, and something like types of trap cards)
5/10 for this series.

Same thing happened with the Digimon series... The pwople watching it grew up, but it remained aimed at the same target audience(sept Tamers, which was different). Still doesn't mean I'll appreciate this series though...
Is this series coming after YGO! 5ds has finished their final last seasoned? Oh man, I figure Konami would do something completely different.. To be honest: How many main characters are gong to have long-spiky stapled hair?! o.o And, how come there aren't many female main characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh Sagas? Meh. I would watch it to see how its like.. I may or may not watch it...

I've been watching this one from the beginning and its not too bad... I hate the main character though. He sucks at dueling and refuses to take advice from his spirit guy. Now, I haven't seen 5D's past the Fortune Cup (I skipped it because it looked stupid and am only now watching it), but wasn't Duel Monsters originally created by the Ancient Egyptians? Then when 5d's showed up with the Ancient Mezoamericans I thought ZEXAL would have, you know, an equally ancient Chinese duel monster deity group. What with Mezoamerica, Egypt, and China all being the oldest civilazations in the world and what not. But no... they skip China and have a freaking ALIEN! How the heck does an alien even know how to play duel monsters?
BTW, of subject, but what happened to Kaiba Corp? In 5D's it looked like it was being run by the big 5 and not Seto, and so far in ZEXAL it hasn't been mentioned at all. Rather, how far apart do these all take place? I know GX was 10 years after the original, and 5D's had to take place at least a generation after GX because the landscape of Domino would have changed way too quickly otherwise and discrimination that strong doesn't just appear immediately, but how long has it been for ZEXAL? And why don't they have flying cars yet if their gaming technology is so advanced?

A female lead would've been pretty interesting, it'd be a nice change of pace to, instead of having Females who barely duel/don't duel at all in the show =P.

Yugioh needs female heroines like Akiza. They are inspiring and would really up the ante on the show. Bad thing is, the yugioh anime was meant to be watched by children and the corp. probably thinks that woman would really turn away children. (Not saying that yugioh is childish, I still watch it)

To me, she just seems to be another fanservice girl for the MC.
Also, most children are taught that women are lower ranked than men in society, so what's best to get children to learn that is by getting kids to watch a show where the Males do a lot of awesome things while the females do almost nothing, or always the "damsel in distress"?

That maybe so(as much as I hate it), but given theleaps and bounds when it comes to gender equality, it can't be that far a stretch for Yu-gi-oh to have a female protaganist -.-

The sudden gender switch for MCs can upset the "balance" of this series and the messages they're supposed to be giving out for life and jeopardize the Yu Gi Oh Franchise and their profits.
At least, that's what I think.

A friend just showed me the first episode. You want to know my reaction?
The first manga was good. The first series (not the green-haired Kaiba one. I did not see them.) where... well, better than another ones.
GX was just average in the way that it finally showed the Duel Monster world for the first time - also, unlike Yugi, defeat could be at every card, while Yugi would always win. Oh, and Alexia was awesome in that she is the first YGO girl not to be a damsel-in-distress and to pwn another characters.
Card Games on motorcycles made me Facepalm x1. The little of what I have seen from Zexal made me...
Spoiler:
Oh yeah, before you ask, this image is from Ms Paint Adventures.

My respect for the show is going down with every new series of yu gi oh they make... Why do they exploit something just to make it worse?!
They continue the Yu-gi-oh franchise... Because it makes money. Ever heard of the Twilight franchise? It sucked so hard that they made movies from it.... Because it makes money.
Cash-cows will continue as long as they can be milked. It's that simple.
