Favorite card discussion: Aussa the Earth Charmer

Aussa, the only Charmer who wears glasses.
Her familiar is Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness. Her upgraded form is Avalanching Aussa, the Earth Spirit Summoner. In her Familiar Sorceress (Familiar-Possessed) form, her familiar, Archfiend Marmot, looks stronger and vicious. Her Spirit Art is Kurogane (Iron), which has the effect to Special Summon lv 4 or lower EARTH monster from the Graveyard.

Kurogane is fun to use if you got a Goblin on the field and one in the grave , or if a monster you needed was in the grave, as long as it's level 4 or lower,

Also, Aussa seems more like the Bookworm/Smart one of the group if you ask me XD.

IMO, Kurogane is the best Spirit Art. Can create OTK, can swap monster, can bring back key monster, etc. Plus it's chainable.

Hmmm... maybe Aussa's the leader of 4 Charmers...
Smart, and maybe she can arrange the battle strategy of Charmers (but, in reality i don't know about that anyway, orz).

lol, Yeah it is, so if your opponent tries to play a Spell or Trap that destroys one monster, use Kurogane and the target is gone XD.

Maybe, For some reason I actually saw Dharc or Eria as the leader, Hiita to me would have to short of a temper to be a leader , Since I see Wynn as the Shy/Innocent one she couldn't lead, But yeah, Aussa, Eria or Dharc could be the leader, aside from Doriado of course XD.

Lately I found out that kurogane is useful on my warrior deck so I put it on my deck. Yeah, Aussa's spiritual art is a big help for earth monsters. If my golem sentry would be killed by my little brother's FGD I can use kurogane to replace it with obnoxious celtic guard.

Kurogane can swap Lily, Grand Mole, Nimble Momonga, an Earth Tuner, Souleater (lolz), and other useful Earth Monster. It can also allow you attack again by tributing a monster that already declares an attack. Attack directly with Goblin Attack Force, Kurogane, Summon another Goblin from the grave, attack again, Kurogane again, summon Goblin again, attack again, Kurogane again, summon Goblin again, attack again... Aussa's Kurogane can perform a situational OTK if you're lucky

A question for Konami/Kazuki Takahashi: Why Earth Spellcasters like Aussa and Earthy both are wearing glasses? I'll never ask this if Aussa and Earthy have different attribute...

lol, I always wondered that too. I remember trying Kurogane in my Fortune Lady deck on TF4, helped beat Yusei Much easier, Earthy had full stars and ATK, made a Direct attack with her, used Kurogane, got rid of Earthy, summoned my second one Yusei had killed, and wiped out his Life Points with her XD.

Second Earthy with Kurogane after attack with the first Earthy?
Earthy is level 6. You can't Special Summon her with Kurogane. orz.

Btw, Aussa's kurogane IMO is the best spiritual art beside Wynn's miyabi. It's so flexible that we can change our monster into another one which is suitable for the condition as long as it's level 4 (I managed to summon Swordmaster Gearfried via kurogane + RR even though it's a minus :p ). Besides, just like Kaze said, we can perform an OTK with this card.

Oh, yes she is level 6, Guess I got Earthy confused with a different monster in my EARTH deck, my bad then . But yeah, this card can get you a lot of good cards from the Grave that your opponent could've gotten rid of.

I think it is because Aussa and Earthy wear glasses, so much studying you have left something of myopia.

Aussa spirt art is the 2nd best of out of the spirt arts. If you attack with a earth monster & if you had Traptrix Meyeleo in the graveyard you can used spirt earth art to tribute that earth monster then summon Meyeleo to gain her 2nd effect to destroyed your opennot's spell or trap card then attack. The would end games more esyer.

Yeah, I agree, Kurogane kicks ass in Traptrix decks. All of the Traptrix monsters are valid targets for it!

But now with 3 CotH in the banlist, unfortunately Kurogane wouldn't feel that special anymore...

Not necessarily, Kaze. Remember that COTH ties itself to the monster it revives, so if your opponent MSTs it, you lose the monster, which isn't the case with Kurogane. Also COTH staying on the field prevents you from running cards like Gorz in your deck, and Kurogane doesn't interfere with that.

So yeah, if it only weren't a -1, it would be better than COTH in every way lol

Being prune to card like MST and conflicts with card like Gorz is minor drawback compared to Kurogane that has too many restrictions. Must level 4 or lower, must EARTH, must tribute a monster. Which makes it overall much worse than CotH which able to revive any monster from your grave without any cost.

Though, discussing cards like this is mainly the reason as why TCG/OCG card discussions exist. Which is why I didn't move this topic from OCG/TCG discussion in first place (and then someone moves it ).

So, can we discuss more about the Charmers themselves instead of discussing gameplay there?

So, I might be totally late to the party on this, but taking a closer look at the original Charmer images, I happened to notice that Aussa sports what appears to be a tattoo on her left arm (it's right below her glove, and it looks like a triangle with squiggly marks on the sides of it). I never noticed that before, and I wanted to know if this was unique to her, or if all the girls had tatts. For the most part, however, it's kinda hard to see the Charmers' arms, since their cloak sleeves usually hide them. The only other Charmer card I found whose arms are visible is Storming Wynn, and she does not seem to have a tatt there, which would mean that normal Wynn doesn't have it either.

So my question is, what does this tatt mean if anything, and why does Aussa have it? And do you think the other Charmers may have something like this or not?
