Yup. Konami made few errata about several card's English name. Though, I don't know where to find the PDF file about it. In case someone know, feel free to post it.

Honestly I don't see what's wrong with exception text. They started doing that on Archfiend cards like Axe of Despair and Summoned Skull, and it worked out fine. Moreover, I don't even see what's wrong with the cards' original names. The OCG and TCG have made it a point to become separate games when they started printing different banlists, so what's the big deal with having a few different monster names, especially ones that are so old no one's gonna use them anymore?
This is stupid. Sky Scout will always be Harpie's Brother in my mind, and Wattkid will always be Oscillo Hero #2, so shall Slime Toad always be Frog the Jam and Black Dragon's Chick will always be Red-Eyes B. Chick.

When it comes to Frog the Jam, his Japanese name is Toad Slime, so it's not really that far. Besides, it helped to differentiate him with real Frog archetype. Kinetic Soldier's real name is indeed Cipher Soldier. I too, don't really get what they're thinking, but I don't mind with the name change. Remember that YGO was for once with Upper Deck Entertainment, which could be the one who gave those cards that name in TCG too, and Konami just give few adjustment this time(?) /shrug. But even though this name change isn't a big deal (at least for me), I can understand your complaining. Their previous names are what we remember the most.
.....Still can't stand Konami's current naming sense, though. *cough*Toadally Awesome*cough*

I think I have an old Frog the Jam card. Let's see what I can do with it now. Crap names like "Toadally Awesome" (cringe) is why I refer to most cards with their Japanese names only. Also,

Well, while Konami doesn't seem to be good nowadays, it's better not to use F-bomb here. Please refrain to use such language when you're posting in forum next time.

Oh yeah I remember the Upper Deck Entertainment years... that was the time when YGO was at its peak, both for competitive and casual play. You know what I need, I need a time machine XD

Wouldn't be the first time I've seen it used on here
