That's what the place looks like in the second episode. @Fuuma: So, if Doriado is seen in the show, maybe the Charmers are soon to follow? Keeping our hopes up, even though from reading your plot spoiler I'm definitely not watching this lol. Also, dat Morphing Jar

| My thought so far...
I already stopped watching this series after I saw the monsters from episode 4. The field spell for duel is cool, but Yuya's monsters are pathetic when it comes to design, and considering they are main character's monster cards, that's another reason for me to quit. But after I heard Constellar and Gem-Knight will appear at episode 9 and 10, yeah. I skipped the other episode and watched episode 9. If you want to see Pleiades and M7, just watch episode 9. Gem-Knight? It's for next week. And the one who will duel the Gem-Knight user is... Yuzu.

Well, that's good that the female lead isn't completely useless like she has been in past YGO serieses!

Well, that's good that the female lead isn't completely useless like she has been in past YGO serieses! Well, not exactly. Aki is a good duelist on her own, Asuka too. Kotori? Well... she is just for fanservice purpose, I believe. As for Yuzu, yes, she could duel. Even winning once (against Yuya who forgot to Pendulum Summon). I gotta say she is much better than Kotori, as overall character. Still, she lost in the 2nd turn after depleting opponent's LP (2200 LP. Yeah, that's pretty impressive), before her opponent finally summoned Master Dia and Crystal to defeat her. Well, Yuzu was distracted by something in her duel though. Next duel, Gongenzaka vs X-Saber user. This X-Saber user used a combo real close to what X-Saber user in real life would do. Boggart + FullHelmKnight + Faultroll -> synchro Souza -> Faultroll eff revive Fullhelm -> synchro XX-Saber Gottomz. 2 Synchros in 1 turn, but this will continue in the next episode. I wonder how will Gongenzaka do with only with 1 monster, who has 2500 DEF...

Wait, there were X-Sabers in Arc-V? Along with Gem-Knights, and that pic of Doriado... they're really harping on the nostalgia factor this series, aren't they?

Personal opinion : I like her design more than other YGO female leads. Well, I skipped many episodes, so I don't know about nostalgia factors. But yes. X-Sabers are there. You can see Constellars in episode 9 too, anyway.

*brofists Kirikaze Fuuma* I mean, it kinda goes without saying that the design of the original characters are the best in general, but I definitely agree with what you said XD

| So, I just finished with episode 11. I gotta say, this X-Saber user is pretty aggressive. There are several times when his field was full of monsters like HERE (Faultroll will summon Fullhelmknight later), while Gongenzaka actually only have one monster, and that's his ace monster who has 3500 DEF, but can be used as ATK power. It's surprising to see Gongenzaka was able to tie with X-Sabers after a good fight, even against 2 Gottoms, and after Souza used his Catastor-like effect to break his ace monster (which failed). while he doesn't even took any Action card, and used only his deck's own power, which consists of monsters only. Well, I really enjoyed the duel. As for next episode, it's Yuya's battle again, and against Reiji Akaba. The preview said Reiji used DDD (king of different dimension?). Whatever... I hope it would have a good appearances. | |

I mean, if you were around in 2010 you should remember how good of a deck X-Sabers were (albeit they had Rescue Cat back then, but even without it they're not a bad deck at all). They were ALWAYS aggressive, being able to summon at least 3 monsters in one turn on average. This doesn't surprise me, and as I mentioned it's nice to see they even got recognition 4 years after their prime.

| First time I watched Arc-V I quit after watching half of the first episode. It basically looked like Zexal 2.0 to me. I forced myself to watch it again, because of the appearance of old characters like Edo and Jack and to learn about Pendulums.
I've only got this to say: This whole "smile" thing is cancer.

I've only got this to say: This whole "smile" thing is cancer. Well... I believe it's just a matter of opinion. Overall this series isn't as bad as Zexal. I don't really watched this series but this one is more enjoyable than the previous one, as overall (I watched specific episodes only in case some interesting decks showed up like... Gladiator Beast. Yup, the duelist who used it almost defeated Yuya and Crow at the same time. Granted, he had some newer support). Though, maybe it's still not as good as the first three series.

"Maybe"? You still have doubts? Well, I didn't watch the entire show, so I can't say that much. But, the story sounds better than Zexal if I see friend's review on FB. I personally enjoyed some duels in this series too. But when I watched some of the episodes, it doesn't seem to look as good as DM, GX and 5D. Just personal opinion. I don't really like the design of main character's deck, which doesn't look appealing at all.
