SD24 - Assault of the Flaming King

The next structure deck after the Sea Emperor... As expected, it is FIRE! And knowing it is Fire... You can expect this one gonna be a hell of broken with Rekindling around and the Firestar Archetype as engine.

Yup... expect all new monsters has 200 DEF points. Even though I'm not really sure it's Firestar SD as nothing really said it's Firestar. But let's see. It might be another archetype but Firestar is fine too.

Well, I'm not saying it's Firestar SD. I just said that Firestar works well with most Fire Deck. So, I don't see why we can not use them here...

The effect... pretty good. When Sacred Phoenix destroyed spell and traps, Garudonix destroys monsters. But so far, I haven't seen his special summon condition. Which could lead to another scrappy boss monster. But of course, This SD most likely provide the support for him to summon him easily, etc. Looking forward for the great artwork and nice supports...

I loved the sacred nethytses. ^_^
I might have to try this structure deck.

Got this from Pojo. Seems this card could support Garudonix pretty well, for those who already know Garudonix's effect, then you could see the connection between this card and Garudonix.

Interesting. It can be used to call Garudonix and also Nephthys easier... And it also can be summoned by Garudonix effect. Too bad it's a promo, mean it will not be easy to get since it won't come from the structure deck. (For TCG, I just hope they didn't make it a crazy hard-to-get promo like being a secret rare from core booster)

Well, It seems Konami has a new strategy to sell their products. Right now they make their new Structure Decks and their new released cards can work together. Well... even though it won't be easy to get this promo card, the deck would work well the day when the player able to get the promo card and combine it with Garudonix.


Anyway, got this from Pojo too. Seems to be Garudonix design.

If you ask me... The art is kinda meh... Not that dignified or Majestic for a Phoenix.

Those Flame King playstyle is... How can I say it? Reckless. They can destroy enemy field really fast and good at dealing damage... But kinda slow, considering most of them need to 'wait until next turn', giving opponent one turn chance to counterattack, and really depend on their New Spell for summoning their boss. (which is sux if all those boss get stuck in the hand)

For the Structure Deck itself... Not full list yet, but what I see is...

-Volcanic
-Jurrac

WHAT. THE. HELL. IS. THIS!? An unity of all Fire Archetype!? It seems Konami just strap in whatever Fire Monster they see fit here...
