i put charmers in here cuz they are the last few spellcastors that have the highest attack that i needed ._.

Hmm.. the normal spellcasters have more numbers than charmers ( in this case FP charmers ). Then, I can't say this is charmer deck. This is a mere spellcaster deck with charmers as its guests. It's just my opinion...

Hmm.. the normal spellcasters have more numbers than charmers ( in this case FP charmers ). Then, I can't say this is charmer deck. This is a mere spellcaster deck with charmers as its guests. It's just my opinion...

I personally think nothing wrong with this deck. FP monsters is used as an additional beatstick here, i can see.
There's already 3 of each level 4 Spellcasters with 1900 Attack: Gemini Elf, Endymion, and Skilled DM.

If you look at the card poll again, there's no other good spellcaster beatstick besides FP to add more in this deck, except a slow Toon Gemini Elf that cannot attack in the turn its summoned. This deck shows a good use of FP monsters as beatstick.

It's already good if compared to the deck that uses FP as beatsticks, but, not using the better spellcaster beatsticks such as those Gemini Elf, Endymion, and that Skilled DM.

lol yeah that's what i went off of. this is actually my competitive deck to beat metagame. it somehow only gets metagame and i won't survive otherwise (i got severely pwned by a reptilliane deck...). well any suggestions for fixes would be greatly appreciated

This is what I can think.

-1 royal oppression (it's now limited)

-2 dark bribe (you already have trap stun, and dark bribe would make your opponent +1)

-1 card trader (this card is basically a -1 card that keep stays on the field after activation. seeing your strategy, you don't really need to trade your card each turn, though.)

+1 monster reborn
+1 dark hole
+2 Breaker the Magical Warrior (it's optional since it's effect would be negated by Skill Drain. You can add 1 Mystical Space Typhoon and 1 Breaker instead)

First thing is I know the card count is a little high but with all the searchers I seem to thin it out really quick. I want to thin it down still I am just not sure what I should get rid of.
The main stratigy is defense, I usually am always able to have a monster on the field, so spirit barrier comes in handy. Stumbling has also been very useful, though a couple of times it has backfired on me. I focus on Appropriate for drawing power, it also makes dark world dealing and much more useful. The worst hand for me is when I have two of the same searchers in my hand so I try and use card trader to prevent that. My main method of attacking is to try and get my opponents monster on my field and get a few direct attacks. I have a few stratgies for clear my opponents field though. Fu rin ka zan is my favorite, and there are plenty of times I have used it without the elemtal mistress on the field but that is why she is in the deck, to make that easier. The wind art has probably been the most help of all the spiritual arts. Enraged Muku Muku can be a monster with over 2000 attack I bring out from giant rat. Beast King Barbaros is awesome in this deck because most of the time three tributes are mo problem. Cyber jar is meant to be a field clearer, helps me with the hand advantage and can be useful very by milling my opponent. Quite a few times I have won just because my opponent could never pierce my defense and they ran out of cards. Morphing jar helps with two of those same things. Thats most of it I would be thankful for for any feed back.Cuz maybe you guys see something that should be taken out or maybe you guys know something that should be added.

Last thing my favorite win with this deck.
I had treeborn in defense and sangan in attack, no face downs and only the book of taiyou in my hand. My opponent had no cards on the field but three in his hand. Life points are me 5500 and my opponent 3300. They play brain control and snatch steal then tribute both for sacred fire bird. (Can't remember the name but that Fire bird with 2400 attack and if it dies by a card effect it comes back and destroyes all magic and traps on the field). Since he tributed sangan I got to get a monster. You may have guessed who I picked Hiita the fire chamer. Game Over. Another win thanks the power of a charmer

...Before I read more about this deck, would you reduce the total number of the cards until 40? Besides, there's a limit for deck number now and it's 60 cards while you have 68 cards in your deck. Even though 68 cards are permitted, the deck will be very very very inconsistent.

Oh, and one more thing, heavy storm, snatch steal, pot of greed, last will and witch of black forest are banned. Take them out and you'll have 64 cards in your deck. 24 cards again and it'll be a much better deck. That's if you know which card you'll take out.

I never heard of a rule limiting the size of a deck. I remember the rule book being clear that there wasn't a limit. I know it is a little high and I would like to reduce it to 60 but I am not sure what onces aren't pulling they own weight. The deck is very consistant. I have a pretty good record with it. I have only had trouble against d.d. decks.
Witch of the black forest I might consider because sangan does(for my uses) the same thing. I look of the banned list only every once in awhile I don't remember seeing the other three on it. i thought they were limited. I try and follow limited and semi limited but I don't follow banned I just treat them as limited(with the exception being ones that can create a instant, easy and unstoppable win such as the five pieces of the forbidden one butterfly daggers of elma gearfried the iron knight and the royal magical library.)

I know it is a little big but should you read it and its stratigy before you make your opinion. I mean I know forty card decks are useful but that doesn't mean decks with more then forty are useless.

I highly doubt it. Except if your deck has no combo and it's just a beatdown. But looking at your deck, you have Doriado, and Fuh-rin-ka-zan. This is very very situational (I was once used this kind of deck with at least 41 cards so I know how it works). Yeah, maybe you'll have a pot of greed, harpie feather duster, raigeki and delinquent duo packed in one with a single fuh-rin-ka-zan. But, I highly doubt the combo can be unleashed. Especially since you don't have either Manju, Senju, or Sonic Bird.

Have you check the September 2010 banlist? Pot of greed, Snatch Steal, Last Will and Heavy Storm are banned. Check this out :

I see your strategy here is a randomness of Charmers with attribute-related cards, which makes the deck inconsistant. You should focus more on the Charmers if you want to use this kind of deck, so try to remove the elemental searchers, spirit arts, fuh-rin-ka-zan, and Doriado. Doriado, Spirit Arts, Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan, DNA Checkup, Appropriate, are all conditional cards and not good for top-decking in late game for this deck. Based on my experience, they didn't help much unless you focus on a 1 attribute Charmer Deck.
Last Will is limited in the traditional format, so you can only use 1 of them.

Too many cards in a deck and a random cards just make the deck inconsistant. A deck would be better if you focus on 1 strategy and use a minimum number of cards in a deck, so you'll draw the card you need faster, and increases your chance of winning.

Deal with it if someone who already read your deck think your deck is inconsistant. You can try to reduce the number of cards in your deck to 40-45 and post your deck again.
If you still said your deck is very consistant, try to duel better opponent. Also, try to post your deck in Yahoo Answers or another Yugioh Forums such as Pojo or Yugioh Card Maker. See other people's opinion about your deck.

I would take anyones advice that is willing to give it, thats why I sighned up to this site. I probably won't be going to other sites. I don't think my deck is the ultimate or anything and I admit that you are right a lesser count would be useful but the problem I am having is I am not sure which cards aren't useful. You guys seem nice znd I saw you giving pointers to other people so I thought I would see what you thought of mine. You are right, I rarely pull the elemental mistress but she has saved me more then once. Fu rin ka zan is useful in this deck even without her. Like I said most of the time I use it because I have the required monsters on the field. I have her in here because I like her and she is useful as a way to pull of fu rin ka zan in one move. To bad sonic duck effect doesn't work from a special summon because then he would be in here(flying kamakiri). So the advice you gave on which cards should leave was because they are banned, may I ask what cards you think aren't that useful because of how the deck is designed.?(I am thinking about getting rid of the elemental mistress)

If you want to take out Doriado, then take out Fuh-rin-ka-zan together with Doriado's blessing. It will be harder to use Fuh-rin-ka-zan if you don't have Doriado on your side. Card trader, appropriate, Enraged Muku-Muku, Sasuke Samurai #4, Cyber Jar (Oh yeah. This card is banned too), Fox Fire, Stumbling, and some other cards I can't mentioned since your deck has so many cards. Try to pick some cards you think would make your deck more consistent and take out the rest. Or if you refuse to take them out, make them your side decks (15 cards only).

i can duel u on yvd with my decks and see if i can help that way. best way to deck test besides proxying with useless cards.

but before that, i think u should focus on one definite strategy and go with it. not to add to be broken record, but ur deck is definitely a bit too random.

I am new here so the last thing I want to do is get on anyones last nerve.
When I saw this thread I thought it looked cool and I was partly suprised that I didn't see a deck similart to mine already here, that is the main reason I joined to show you guys something it looked like you haven't seen, maybe to get a few tips(or give them if I can) and lastly to make a few new friends. First I know I have banned cards and thats because I don't play advanced format.
Second I do realize that Elemental Mistress Doriado and Homunculus the Alchemic Being are probably hurt the deck a little but I like them so I went with it. I guess it is a beatdown deck because the only stratigy I really have is to attack. I have alots of searcher as you can tell so my hope is to always keep a monster on the field while I get ready to attack. I mainly try and attack directly by steal my opponents monster first. I have noticed because of cyber jar, morghing jar and the pots of avarice milling my opponents isn't to difficult.
This version of my charmer deck isn't field tested yet so I will let you know how that goes.

If you don't play advanced format, then tell us from the very beginning you made this deck. And when I showed you the forbidden card list, you said that you haven't seen forbidden and limited card list for 2 months while cards like last will, cyber jar, and snatch steal are already banned more than six months ago. But lucky for you, dark hole is no longer banned.

Messenger of peace is useless together with Neo Aqua Madoor except if you want to make a stall deck. Card Trader too is useless. Book of Taiyou has a bigger chance to become a dead draw since you only have 1 charmer for each of Eria, Hiita, Aussa and Wynn. Miyabi is a minus one card. One Fuh-rin-ka-zan and one Doriado are useless and situational so if you really want to use them, use 3 doriado and 3 Fuh-rin-ka-zan, but in order to do that, you need 3 Manju, 3 Senju and 3 Sonic Birds to make your deck more consistent. But you need to take out more cards in your deck in order to make it balance.

My point is, you need to revise your deck again. You still have 55 cards in your deck while the cards inside your deck are completely situational. Seriously, your deck is not really good at all. You can duel anyone here via YVD to test your deck and see how your deck works. That's if they accept your challenge.

Sorry about that I am a little new to forum this is the first yugioh forum I have ever been on, I guess that and that I don't like advanced format might have been good to mention before now.
I did look at the list two months ago but I didn't really remember everything on the list because I don't like the idea of not being able to use at least one copy of a card.
Limited and semi Limited I try and remember better but I still mess up.

I love challenges, I will do that but I am not sure when. my computer is old and one of the conditions my mom gives me is I have to have a friend(Computer genius) come over and check out downloads before they can be downloaded. I look forward to the challenge though.
I added messenger of peace mainly because I just read that the card text has been changed and now it is optional to pay which is awesome since most of my monsters can attack even with it on but if one of my can't attack then I will get rid of it haha.
I know fu rin ka zan and elemental mistress are hurting the deck a little but I like them so intend to keep them for now. I am suprised you didn't say Homunculus the Alchemic Being as one that should leave since his effect is less effective if fu rin ka zan and the spirit arts are gone.

Well it´s a very hard OTK to make but it´s possible...

becuase all you need is the Familiar Possessed forms, with solidarity (and a spellcaster type monster in the graveyard) and the Fu-Rah, to destroy all spell/traps and monsters the opponent controls and attack directly

1850 + 800= 2650
2650 + 2650 + 2650 +2650 = 10,600 LP

My new charmer deck
Probably the only deck I will ever consider using syncro in.
I Don't actually own half those cards so I know part of my stratigy is theory at this point but I figured it is good to bounce idea around before I actually try and buy this deck. CONSIDERING INJECTION FAIRY LILY IS 25 DOLLORS. lol.

Also I know double attack is -2 so I am still considering replacing that with mage power or something. I just left it in so far because I wanted to see how well it might work. Plus that is the easiest way to pontentionally give a OTK.

So what do you guys think?
